Xena

I wanted to write and let you all know how much we LOVE
Xena. She has integrated so well at our
home. She has three brothers Zuri (great
dane), Rascal (border collie), and Jaden (cat).
She made herself at home the first day we got her here. Thank you so much for such a wonderful dog,
she is truely a gem! It's a crying shame that anyone would have ever abused
her!! Thanks again K9 Bed and Biscuit.

Samson
(Formerly known as Walter)

This is Samson, aka Walter, sitting
for a treat. He has been with us for a little over two weeks now. He has a
brother named Jack and two sisters, Lucy and Dahlila. Samson has become great
friends already with Lucy, but Dahlila. Well that is another story. They played
yesterday for the first time. I think it must have been too close to nap time
for Samson because he had the grand mal of all meltdowns. I have to lay him on
his back and rub his chest to calm him down, and then he is okay again. Given
how quickly he has adapted to the other two, I really think in time he will
become Dahlila's boy which is the hope. He is a very loving little boy and we
are truly blessed to have him.

**Bella**

I adopted Bella this summer and I have loved every minute of her in my home! Even though she is about 10, she is spunky and curious. She
immediately fell in love with one of my older dogs and loves to sleep on him. Bella is grateful to have found a home so late in her life, and clearly has no intention of going anywhere. She is one happy dog, and I'm happy to have found her!

Maxwell
We adopted Maxell, the 'rough and tumble' pit puppy. We just wanted to say thank you so much! He was an instant hit in our household! He is actually a pretty mellow little guy and is so anxious to please! He follows our 8 month Min-Pin mix around everywhere, and tries to imitate everything he sees our female pit do. He loves our 2 year old daughter, and treats her like one of his litter mates. He is almost completely housebroken already too! We love him so much already and cant' thank you enough for helping us bring more love into our house! We'll send you pictures and he gets a little older, so you can see how well he has already adjusted to our home. I will be sure to recommend you to everyone we know!
Thanks again!

SHELBY

I adopted Shelby (then named Macy), a young black pitbull last summer. She has been such a blessing to us, she is a great dog and such a doll. She is the sweetest girl ever! She and her sister Stella (catahoula bulldog) travel all over with me to rodeo's on the weekends and they are such good girls. Shelby is really an ambassador for her breed, as everyone who meets her falls in love with her. She has grown so much already, and I think she has a lot more to do if she is to catch up to her feet! Shelby is perfectly content as long as she has a ball to fetch, rawhide chewy to devour, or is laying on your feet. She fits in perfectly here, and I am so glad to have her. I wanted to say thank you so much for everything you work so hard to do!

ROSCOE

We adopted Roscoe (then named Rocky) in February 2008. He was the perfect dog from day one. He has been a wonderful addition to our family. He loves to play with his sisters Tibby (St. Bernard) and Annastasia (Maltese). This is our first winter with him and he really loves to play in the snow. We found this summer that he also loves to swim. We take him to the Platte river and he romps in the water. His favorite toy is a red-white-and blue squeky ball and we can hear him sometimes in the middle of the night playing with it. On his down time he snuggles with me on the couch. We couldn't ask for a better baby to adopt and just wanted to thank all of you for what you do!

CHASE
I adopted Chase for my son and his girlfriend. My husband was not so sure about him. After my son was hospitalized and we realized he would be gone for about a year, we considered returning Chase. I cried for days. He was becoming part of our animal loving family. We decided our family would not be the same without him. Chase still sleeps in his crate in the guest room, but as my husband said... "he is clearly not just a guest anymore!"

Tasha & Pam's Story
I met Tasha the first day I worked as a volunteer at K9 Bed & Biscuit. Back then it was called Double J Pet Ranch. Tasha wasn't up for adoption: she was being boarded. When I returned for my third week of walking dogs at the shelter, I asked about Tasha. I found out her owner had boarded her six months before and had never come back.
It was love at first sight. So, I asked if there was any way I could adopt Tasha. Her previous owner couldn't be found so I was able to adopt her- YAY! That was more than five years ago. Tasha is still the love of my life and brings so much joy, not only to me, but also my family and friends. Although she's a big girl (100 lbs)H
she sleeps in my bed, lies in my lap and squishes herself into my very small bathroom while I get ready each day. She is pure love!

Dear Christine & Staff,
You don't know what a difference YOU'VE
made in my life. After my precious "Nimbus" died, I have been able to
fulfill my cat fancy by being at the shelter once or twice a week. I
have "adopted" my own favorites there. I don't know what their real
names are or even most of their sexes, but I have given them my own pet
names. They just want to be loved just like everybody else. And since
it is a no-kill shelter, it's like they are little orphans. I have
enjoyed
every minute of it and if or when we ever move into a country house, I
am going to get me another cat, probably from there. Please let me know
if there's anything else I can do of bring in on Saturday mornings.
Sincerely,
Pam Love - Greeley
